Operation Sexy Bitch- The last OFFICIAL workout! Or is it? August 28th, 2009

Today is the last OFFICIAL Friday of Operation Sexy Bitch. Hard to believe that tomorrow is four full weeks, and that Sunday is the 30th day. I’ve been taking weekends off to rest my knee, and muscles, but knowing there are only two days left sort of makes me want to push it over the weekend… Who knows. I guess I’ll see how I feel. Regardless though, today is my final ‘scheduled’ workout of the 30 Day Challenge, and I want to make it count!
The fact that my knee feels so absolutely much better is helping!! My ‘high knees’ cardio burst is so much easier in 30 Day Shred, I can hardly believe it! I’m scared it will revert back to hurting, stick it’s tongue out at me, and say ‘Nanny nanny boo boo!’ So far so good though! Yay knee!
Something else I noticed last night actually, but wanted to look at again in the light of day- because I still think my eyes are deceiving me- is my ab muscles. I’m scared to even type this because it seems SO UNREAL, but I just noticed the hint of… V MUSCLES! You know the ones. The ones we drool over on guys. Yeah, those. They are my FAVORITE MUSCLE on a man, and if you know my back story, the sheer IDEA of having these muscles hadn’t even OCCURRED to me. The outline is faint, but it’s there. I’ve looked in all sorts of light to make sure… This, alone, may be reason enough to extend OSB and see what I can do to develop those muscles further. I was never planning on stopping OSB all together, I was just thinking of scaling things back to a more normal level, but maybe I’ll just extend the ‘challenge’ to 60 Days, and revert to normal then… The reasons that pushed me into this challenge are still very much present, and getting to see what my new body can do, and develop, has been so intriguing. Until January, I’d never been able to stand up straight and see my belly button. And now I’m getting V muscles! I’m just saying that this is my time, perhaps, to focus on the gift I was given in January, and see where it takes me. Is it totally weird to say that in my 30s, I’m in the best shape of my life? And I’m still far from great shape. 30 days has been a booster, but not an end. Healthy living is a lifestyle, not a diet. Its’ a marathon, not a sprint. I’m going to have to balance it out with real life again at some point, but until my family is on their feet again, that isn’t much of an option anyway, so why not use this time to hopefully ingrain some amazing habits in my life and see where that takes me?
Enough philosiphising. On to the day…
Of course, 30 Day Shred and Austin Abs this morning. Almost 400 calories despite the fast that my heart rate monitor blanked out again a couple of times. I tightened the strap when I took it off because I’m thinking that maybe it’s just loose enough that when I jump, my bra knocks it out of place… Just a thought, but I hope I’m right!
Made it to spin class for lunch, and while I didn’t break 700 calories (that spin instructor was just phenomenal!), I burned over 600, and that put me over 1000 for the day! I’ll take that for my last official workout! I actually entered that into my Sparkpeople page and it told me I have burned almost 5000 calories in 5 days! I hate to spoil the week workout totals that come on Monday, but that is pretty impressive to me! And a whole new goal to try to hit. What the heck kind of crazy woman am I??!! HA HA!!
I worked until 8 at night, went home, ate dinner, and settled in to watch some Dexter on On Demand. An exciting Friday night, over all, but I was too tired to get out with everyone, and I didn’t have the money anyway. Gotta save what I have for SAN DIEGO NEXT WEEK!!!!!!! I’ll try to blog from SD, but it will be harder since I’m not sitting at a computer. If I miss some stuff, I may lump it into one big blog… Not sure. But stay tuned!!
On to my GOALS!
Vitamins: All of them.
Water: 21 glasses.
Alcohol: 2 glasses of wine
Workout: 130 minutes for 1012 calories!
Sleep:7 hours, so hard to get to that 8 by the time I get home and eat…

I’m definitely on the high end of everything today, but I’m ok with that. I hadn’t reached my calorie intake in two days, and I stayed up later than normal, so I ended up with an extra glass of wine and a snack… And I still stayed in my range, so you just can’t beat that!
I’m still up in the air about tomorrow. Workout or no? I have to work, so we’ll see… But I kind of want to. Hmmm…
See you guys soon! Happy Weekend!
